Get answers to common questions about Cornrows + Sew-In.
Most Cornrows + Sew-In styles last between six to eight weeks with proper care. Longevity depends on hair growth rate, tension, and maintenance. We recommend a refresh or removal at eight weeks to prevent matting and protect your natural hair and scalp.
Hair is not included with the Cornrows + Sew-In service. Clients should bring their own extension bundles or purchase through the salon. We can recommend suitable textures, lengths, and brands and assist with pre-matching to achieve a natural, seamless blend.
When braided and sewn correctly, Cornrows + Sew-In should not permanently damage natural hair. Proper tension, experienced braiding, and timely maintenance limit stress. Avoid overly tight installations and keep up with scalp care; consult our stylists if you experience pain or thinning.
Come with clean, dry, detangled hair and avoid heavy oils or leave-in products on the day of your appointment. Deep-condition and trim any damaged ends beforehand. Bring your extension hair and any reference photos to help us deliver your desired look efficiently.
Maintain your Cornrows + Sew-In by gently cleansing the scalp weekly, moisturizing with light oils or sprays, and wrapping hair with a satin scarf at night. Avoid heavy product buildup near the roots and schedule touch-ups for loose wefts or braid concerns.
You can exercise with a Cornrows + Sew-In, but protect the style from chlorine and saltwater. Wear a swim cap, rinse and clarify hair after swimming, and dry thoroughly to prevent matting. Intense sweat may require more frequent cleansing and scalp care.
