With proper care stitched braids typically last four to eight weeks. Longevity depends on hair growth, braid size, scalp care, and sleep protection. We recommend touch-ups or removal after eight weeks to prevent matting and breakage.

Yes — hair is included in the Stitched Braids service price at Bel Hair Studio. We supply quality synthetic or human-hair options; upgrades for premium hair types, special colors, or extra lengths may incur additional charges.

Installation time varies by size, length and complexity. Most stitched braid services take two to five hours; larger styles or added detailing can extend to six hours. We'll give a specific time estimate during booking based on your chosen look.

When installed with proper tension and regular maintenance, stitched braids are low-risk. Excessive pulling, tight edges, or leaving braids in too long can cause breakage. Our stylists assess hair health and recommend gentle installation and protective aftercare to minimize damage.

Protect the braids nightly with a silk scarf or bonnet, cleanse the scalp every one to two weeks, and apply lightweight oils to prevent dryness. Avoid heavy products, limit friction, and schedule scalp checks to extend wear and maintain hair health.

You can swim and exercise with stitched braids but take precautions: wear a swim cap, rinse and gently cleanse hair after exposure to chlorine or salt, and dry thoroughly. Frequent chlorinated water can fade or weaken added hair over time.
