Get answers to common questions about Spring Twist.
Spring Twists typically last four to eight weeks depending on hair growth, twist size, and care routine. Using a satin bonnet, avoiding heavy manipulation, and gentle cleansing will extend wear. Remove or refresh when excessive loosening, matting, or scalp irritation appears.
No — hair is not included with the Spring Twist service. Clients may bring their own pre-stretched or synthetic hair, or purchase extensions at the studio. We’ll discuss texture, color, and length during booking so your stylist can prepare materials.
Yes. You can gently wash scalp and twists using a diluted sulfate-free shampoo and water, then condition lightly. Use a spray bottle, pat dry with a microfiber towel, and air-dry or low-heat dry. Avoid vigorous scrubbing to prevent frizz and loosening.
Time varies by desired size, length, and hair density. Expect two to six hours for most Spring Twist appointments; smaller, longer twists take longer. We provide a time estimate when booking, so please share reference photos and whether you bring hair.
Properly installed Spring Twists should not damage edges if the tension is low and parts are gentle. Avoid tight styling, heavy additions, or prolonged wear without breaks. Communicate sensitivity to your stylist; they can adjust technique to protect your hairline and scalp.
To extend longevity, sleep on satin or silk, lightly oil the scalp, and refresh edges gently. Cleanse every one to two weeks and avoid heavy creams that cause build-up. Remove twists after recommended wear time to prevent matting and breakage.
